CAUTI: discuss ethical and legal considerations for your practice
This week you will discuss ethical and legal considerations for your practice challenge and add this to the content for your final paper. You may base your ethical and legal discussion on an actual study that you have found in the literature or a potential study/project that you identified/described in the last discussion.
1. Describe ethical considerations related to your potential project or an identified study.
2. Describe legal considerations related to your potential project or an identified study.
3. Describe the IRB process and purpose in research.
Content should include informed consent, potential risk, participant description, disclosure of financial benefits or reimbursement, sample selection, voluntary participation, HIPAA, confidentiality, anonymity, storage and dissemination of protected health information, etc. If none of this relates specifically to your project, you need to state this and describe why and create an informative disclosure form. Either form should have your contact information and credentials on it for the participants to ask questions or address concerns.
