Identifies a literature search strategy that substantially evaluates and analyzes a nursing leadership problem by searching and analyzing scholarly works and identifying a rationale for selecting particular sources, databases used, and keywords. Writes clearly and logically, with correct use of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and mechanics, with no errors, and formats citations correctly using APA style, and all information is accurate and up-to-date. Consist of a paragraph that is both a descriptive and evaluative paragraph (about 150 words). Offer both a description and a critical assessment of the articles or books being annotated (for example, what are the leadership dynamics related to the problem that the resource identifies?) Give the reader a sense of the quality of the sources. Give a sense of the argumentative position of the author relative to others in the field (for example, what is the focus of the publishing journal? What are the author\’s credentials and how does that fit the problem?). Inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited. Expose, concisely, the author\’s point of view and the clarity of the work. Evaluate the appropriateness of expression, and authority. Summarize the central theme and scope of the article. Compare or contrast the work with another you have cited. Your paper must be at least 2–3 pages long, excluding the cover page and references. Scenario There where 20 inmates that needed to move off of the unit they were on to have a deep cleaning. No medication carts could be pushed, and the unit that the inmates assigned to had no place to store medication except on the desk along with their charts. Staff was not made aware of the move until the officer told the nursing staff to pack up the inmates to move at 5 pm. The RN in charge, LPN, and the CNA had to move all of the patients, along with personal belongings, medications, charts, and treatment. The shift was to end at 7 pm. The staff is to return to work the next day for another 12 hours. |
