Nursing Rubric Creation Assignment
Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is to develop an analytic rubric to assess any written assignment in either an academic or clinical setting. In addition, completion of this assignment will provide real-life application of course knowledge.
Objectives:
This assignment addresses the following course objectives:
•Directions: The rubric should meet the criteria listed on page 176 located in Oermann & Gaberson, Chapter 9. The rubric will need to be designed for written assignments.
1. Write the assignment description. Include the assignment topic and for what level student the assignment was written. This is to be an individual assignment that is developed by you the instructor of the course.
2. State the purpose of the assignment and link the assignment to the student-learning objective for the course (an academic or clinical course). Note: You do not develop a course, but state what type of course this assignment would be used in.
3. The assignment is to include parameters and the expectations of the assignment as well as the grading criteria.
4. Develop a grading rubric, reflecting the assignment criteria and expectations.
