Hello everyone,
The conflict I would like to use is the conflict between Israeli and the Palestine. This war has been going on for decades because of land. The Jews wanted to flee persecution in Europe and wanted to establish a homeland where it was mostly an Arab and Muslim territory. The Arabs see the land as rightfully theirs and to this day they still are at a battle over the land. They tried to gain peace with the two groups but in 2014 it fell apart and a full on war started. They would like to make it a two state solution and divide it between them but they haven’t seem to come to an agreement.
I think to solve this conflict they should use our technology we have to figure out the population of both groups and then graph out the land accordingly. Once the land is divided they could invent some sort of technological land disturbance device that would create a major canyon between the two so they won’t be able to cross into each other’s territory as easy and hopefully slow down the war between the two.

The conflict that I have done some research into is according to the (NY Times, 2017) is referred to as the “Mexico’s Drug War”. It has been an ongoing war between the United States and Mexico drug cartels. Mexican drug cartels keep finding different ways to import drugs from Mexico to the United States. From using airplanes to tunnels that travel under the border.
Now all drugs have certain chemicals in them that stand out from the rest. Now I believe with the amount of technology we have today we could develop a weapon such as a gas that attacks those chemicals But is non-lethal to humans and animals. The gas itself can be made to use in canister forms looking like flashbangs or grenades. It could also be used from crop duster planes etc. They can come in low and cover a wide area that is suspected of drug manufacturing taking place.
The gas itself would be white cloudy looking gas and as for the formula, I am not that advanced in science to develop that. I would have to use chemists for that aspect of the weapon. Upon releasing the gas around said drugs the chemicals in the gas attacked the drugs rendering them useless. No special training would be needed for this drug. This would be a weapon for the armed forces or DEA. If it did get into the wrong hands who could reverse engineer the gas they could possibly turn into something else entirely or it could be used against competitors.
