ST3004 – Hypothesis Testing
Over the course of this Area of Expertise, you have been introduced to the z test, t test, chi square test, and analysis of variance. This Competency Assessment asks you to demonstrate your understanding of each of these tests and when each is most appropriate.
In this Competency Assessment, you will consider five different scenarios and data sets, determine the type of test that is most appropriate (t test, chi square equal frequencies, chi square unequal frequencies, chi square test of independence, or ANOVA), and perform the test including any and all steps in the process. Based on these computations, you will finally write a conclusion statement for each scenario.
