Psychology of adolescence
This is the first of 2 Experience papers that you will have to write. These papers are solely based on YOUR experiences and are not research papers. The reason for these papers is to get you to think back to YOUR OWN adolescence in order to enhance connections between your readings, yourself and adolescents around you. Adolescents are not a different species – they are us, just a bit younger. I believe that we sometimes tend to forget how we were as children and adolescents. Therefore, taking a short trip down memory lane might increase our understanding and interest in the readings.
Please write 2-3 pages about your own experiences as an adolescent in terms of sexuality. Please look at the Schedule and the Topics listed under SEX. You may write about anything that relates to sexuality and your experiences. You are free to write whatever you deem appropriate and without causing major distress to you. Please know that your writings will be treated confidentially and will never be disclosed to anyone other than myself. However, please only write about what you feel comfortable about disclosing. Topics could include how you felt about your growing body, the physical and emotional changes during adolescence, your first love, etc.
