Pathophysiology Case Study: You are seeing a patient with fatigue, pallor, dyspnea on exertion, and palpitations
The patient is 50 years old. Laboratory report indicates a low hematocrit 32, hemoglobin 9.7, and reticulocyte count low at .47% MCV of 78 and MCHC of 32.1.
1)Describe the pathophysiologic process of Anemia.
2) The diagnosis you believe to be correct for this patient (which is Anemia, so talk about why you think it is Anemia)
3) Identify two differential diagnoses and provide the pathophysiology of these two differential diagnoses. ( if you have a hard time coming up with 2 differential diagnoses, please let me know I will be able to provide you)
4)What clinical signs/symptoms would you expect to see with these two differential diagnoses?
5)additional workup that is needed to rule in or rule out these differential diagnoses. What clinical signs/symptoms would you expect to see with these two differential diagnoses?
Dear writer, if you are not sure/don’t know the answer to any of these questions, please get in touch with me to guide or provide you the answers.
