This assignment will give you practice in sampling and help you to achieve Course Objective #3: Demonstrate competency in research design, sampling, measurement, data collection and analysis procedures.
For this assignment, assume that you are interested in the honesty of nursing students.
1. Write a research question on the topic. For instance: Are nursing majors more honest than other college students? You may select the type of research question.
2. Using your research question, discuss the sampling plan you would use for each of the sampling methods listed below. Be sure that you clearly explain your sampling process. Remember that the sampling needs to be appropriate for answering the research question.
• Simple random sample
• Stratified random sample
• Convenience sample
• Quota sample
• Purposive sample
3. You may use the same question for more than one sampling method or you may change your question for each method. Be sure that you clearly explain your sampling process. The key is to answer the question with the correct sampling plan and method
