Assignment 2: Middle Range or Interdisciplinary Theory Evaluation
As discussed this week, middle range theories are widely used as a framework for investigating nursing practice issues. Moreover, ideas from other scientific disciplines, such as sociology and environmental science, are applicable to nursing practice. In the next weeks, you will investigate the use of interdisciplinary ideas in nursing.
This Assignment requires you to analyze and apply two middle-range or transdisciplinary theories to a clinical practice issue. You will also develop a hypothesis for an evidence-based practice project to tackle a clinical issue, based on each theory.
This section also talks about Theories, Models, and Frameworks from Administration and Management
You will locate one grand nursing theory and one middle-range nursing theory applied in a research study. You will examine how each theory was applied within the research study and then analyze the utility of grand and middle-range nursing theories to advance the discipline of nursing and its impact upon your advanced nursing practice as an FNP (Family nurse practitioner)
