Influenza and health care workers vaccination in the US
ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS: EPIDEMIOLOGY CLASS
***Assignment:
- Briefly Provide some statistics of the burden of influenza in the US (morbidity, mortality, cost)
- Discuss about the importance of health care workers to get vaccinated to protect patients and to reduce the mortality of hospitalized patients (Especially immunocompromised patients with comorbidities)
- Institutions are obligated to enforce vaccination (ethical basis for obligating influenza vaccine), institutions have a separate ethical obligations to its patients
- Briefly discuss How the DNP nurse should advocate and support immunizations policies and guidelines in order to protect patients and the community
- Remember reference must be scholarly, peer reviewed article. Please include DOI numbers on the reference page (It’s required in APA). References should be scholarly journal articles (Nothing from conferences, goggle, .com).
- This assignment is for the DNP class and the grading is rigorous including grammar and APA style.
