Part 1: Aim: The topic for my project is; Time management.

  • What is the aim(s) of your project? Ensure the aim is measurable (e.g., Improve in X way by X %).

This project aims to improve the delivery of service in medical facilities by 80% by applying appropriate processes guiding the delivery of nursing services. Improvement of delivery services by 80% will significantly result in quality improvement of activities being delivered by nurses. Effective time management will help get work done and produce higher quality work by 90%. This project’s aim will also focus on decreasing stress with good time organization. The performance of activities at the right time and place will increase by 90%

 

 

Part 2: Process Analysis

  • What is the process you are studying?

The process entailed in the time management project being studied is the value of nurses upholding effective time management strategies while delivering services to clients in medical facilities. Nurses often delay exercising services regarding patient welfare, leading to a room of provision of many services at once.

  • Who are the people involved?

The people involved in the time management project are the health care providers—nurses working in medical facilities form of focus since nurses engage in various services.

  • Where does the process start and end?

The evaluation of time management among the health care providers, especially the nurses working in medical facilities, starts immediately at the reporting of a shift and ends at the end of a shift. All the activities about the shift and shift reporting time are also indicated to ascertain when the activities commenced. The process commences when the shift begins, and ends when the shift is over. The time the nurse will report to shift is also vital in a time management project.

 

Part 3: Measurement

  • What are you measuring?

Delivery of services to clients corresponding to their time is of interest in measurement. Delivery of services begins the moment the staff report for the daily shift. Factors that delay the deliverance of activities will be indicated. Measurement of time management will utilize

  • How are you collecting the data?

Data collection will be collected by various sources; nurse’s codex, nurses’ report book, patient’s files and other staff will also be given the questionnaires they will fill in.

 

Part 4: Changes

  • What changes do you anticipate making based on what the data reveal?

It is anticipated that deliverance of service should be specific, measurable, attainable, reliable and time-bound. Application of standardized assessment and adoption at an appropriate time will improve the outcome of patient care. Application of quality improvement tools such as PDSA should be involved (Johnson & Sollecito, 2020).

 

Part 5: Reflection and Application

  • How might you extend the project long-term?

The project results will help in informing policy changes at the medical facilities. The results obtained from the time management project will act as evidence for recommendations on how to improve time management in the delivery of services to enhance positive health outcomes.

 

  • How might the experience of this personal project inform a quality project in nursing?

The time management project experience will help to understand how to conduct a quality project in nursing. It will help with understanding who involve in the project, from whom and how to get approvals. It will help to understand the appropriate quality improvement tools for a nursing-related project (Graban, 2018). The project will also help in engaging other stakeholders to involve them in nursing quality projects.
