I believe I have not attained all my goals because this is an ongoing process. I will continue to evaluate individual outcomes and ensure nursing education in the institution remains current. So far I have managed to accept responsibilities associated with becoming a leader and I have participated in several preceptorship functions. |

| Reflection: Over the past years, there has been an increased interest in the understanding of teaching effectiveness in nursing education. Nurse educators should develop their skills and demonstrate good leadership to ensure the needs of the profession are met. For the past two weeks, I have been busy engaging faculty and listening to what they think about change in nursing education. It is the responsibility of the nurse leaders to ensure the instructors and students are well-equipped to deal with the challenging educational environment. Organizing meetings to discuss ongoing issues and providing solutions to observed challenges is the role of nurse leaders. I believe I am adequately prepared to be part of the leadership team and through participation in development courses, I can sharpen my skills and become a better leader.
