Learning Goals: What do you want to accomplish for Competency 1: Facilitate Learning?

Be sure your goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (S.M.A.R.T. goals).

Some goals should reflect higher cognitive learning levels in Bloom’s taxonomy.

My goals for this competency is to strive and be able to effectively provide opportunities that enhance a deeper understanding of and reflection on the world and create global-mindedness among me as a teacher and students. Through this, students will effectively increase understanding through increased exposure between the teacher and students via learning sessions throughout the classroom and clinical sessions. Enhancing increase in academic activity through collaboration with affiliated education partners to enhance student and teacher satisfaction when facilitating learning activities. Enhancing learning motivation through creating a favorable environment to suitably create students to learn smoothly within the classroom and clinical setup. I will also be able to implement varied teaching strategies that are significant and appropriate to the content delivered, clinical and classroom setting, effective methods of delivery, for instance, stimulation and face-to-face learning and promoting the desired learner outcomes that favor learning to the learner. However, I should be competent to modify teaching strategies and learning experiences as demonstrated or considering the learner’s cultural setup or past life and educational experiences (Maynes et al., 2012). I should also be competent in equipping learners with knowledge, skill, and attitudes that facilitate learning within the clinical setup and classroom setting.
Resources and Strategies: What type of resources or strategies will you utilize to accomplish your learning goals?  Include both human and material resources.
The resources (human and material) and strategies I need to meet my weekly goal(s) are developing a positive staff relationship that eases collaboration within the educational practicum. As the teacher, I should be available through clinical teaching to facilitate and examine that the learners learn and provide a room for assistance to aid their learning process. A strong human management system will be able to fire on learning without staff shortages. The material I will use to enhance includes providing a textbook of references of what will be learned, ensuring a favorable environment where students gather to learn. I incorporate the use of multimedia teaching aids such as projector, presentations, video tutorials, syllabus, course outline, and   presenting an assessment tool kit as early as possible for the learner to be able to know the areas to read more and work on it to achieve optimum competence through the clinical setup and also to achieve their objective at the end of the course work.
Measurement: How will you know that you have accomplished your learning goal(s)? What criteria will you use to measure this?
The criteria I will use to measure my goals are: I must have great mastery over the particular lesson or clinically teaching I am going to engage in. I will exercise learner engagement and provide learner assistance where necessary. Through this, I shall be able to diagnose the learner’s learning process and should be able to provide varied instructions to a learner who needs assistance. I will also organize and structure my lessons to promote active learning to enhance student engagement. Students should be to ask and answer questions that I will pose to them regarding the lesson I will have taught. Encouragement questions will also constitute a way of diagnosing that I have accomplished my teaching goals. Providing summative and weekly tests and assignments will provide a favorable indicator for me to accomplish teaching effectively. Through summative tests and quizzes, I should be able to know if students have learned what I have taught them. Timely student feedback regarding the courses will also help motivate students toward learning and examine their areas of weakness.
Complete this section after you complete the weeks clinical. Evaluation: Did you meet your goal? What did you accomplish that you can use as evidence that you met your learning goals?

Did you meet your goal? Yes, by approaching teaching with the goals that guided my teaching practicum, I facilitated learning effectively and adequately motivated learning among the learners. Organization, structuring of content, incorporation of students, and teacher incorporation paved a favorable room that articulated learning within the classroom teaching process. Through the summative tests, I could diagnose and evaluate that the students understand and connect varied concepts surrounding the module content.
Reflect on Competency 1, analyzing your practicum experiences: Be sure to connect your experiences directly to the competency.
Reflection:

Teaching practicum has assuredly increased my competencies in the management of classroom teaching and enhanced the continuity of the teaching process. Through effective teacher-guided roles and teaching principles, I effectively delivered the teaching process in a classroom setting. Controlling the classroom was quite challenging, but I suitably articulated my voice so that the students could demonstrate learning. Setting summative tests and giving out daily assignments was a clear indication that did show to that the students were able to incorporate what I had taught them with the classroom setup.
