Homeless & Mental Illness/A Vulnerable Population
A 7-page research paper that discusses the homeless, mental health, interventions and their efficacy. This review of literature focuses on describing and evaluating public health interventions as to their efficacy and orientation. The theoretical criteria used for this evaluation draws on Orem’s self-care deficit nursing theory, which describes how individuals utilize self-care agency in order to maintain their “bio-psycho-socio-cultural spiritual needs, health and well-being” (Hurst, et al 2005, p. 11).
