Evolution of Telemedicine
A 12 page paper discussing telemedicine as it currently exists. As health care increasingly is charged with providing higher quality service while simultaneously lowering overall operating costs, the health care industry continually searches for innovative ways to deliver health care services that can meet coverage and cost criteria. Telemedicine provides an alternative to costly redundancy of equipment and medical expertise while guarding against reducing services to patients, but so far its greatest use lies in home health care applications.
