Reflection Essay (4-5 pages double spaced, which should be approximately 1000-1500 words)
Provide an analysis of ethical issues that arise in the context of human subjects research. Select a case we have discussed in class (Tuskegee, Willowbrook, Milgram Obedience Studies), or another case you find on your own. Provide a brief, 1 page, description of the case you select being sure to highlight key issues. Then, drawing on your understanding of key ethical theories and concepts, provide a detailed analysis of the ethical issues that arise in the case. What were the ethical issues? How issues might be highlighted by different ethical theories. What do you think should have been done in the case in question? Provide a defense for your answer integrating key concepts from class.
No additional research is necessary. If you use your textbook as a reference, please use inline citation as with past papers (eg. Pence, 101).
