In your paper, you are the nurse dealing with an ethical patient issue. You are having a dialogue with the Ethics Committee in your facility to advocate for your patient during this ethical dilemma. Develop your paper creatively to include discussions from both sides of the table. Include the final decision and how you and the Ethics committee came to that decision. Include scholarly resources that produce evidence to support the final decision. Format/Requirements: The introduction, body and conclusion of this paper should be 5-7 typed double-spaced pages in Times New Roman 12 font. Also include a title page and a reference page. The paper and all references should be in APA format. You must provide 3-5 peer-reviewed journal articles in addition to the Lewis and Cherry & Jacob textbook to support your dialogue. As will be stated in the Writing Assignment Rubric, you should produce writing that is clear, precise, organized, and correct (according to the guidelines of Standard Written English). Topic 2: Psychiatric Nursing Issues The Assignment: There are many prevalent issues in providing care to psychiatric patients in today’s health care system. In this paper, choose a particular psychiatric issue and discuss what you consider to be the two most significant problems that your chosen psychiatric patient population faces today in receiving care. Then discuss possible solutions for each of those problems, including what impact nursing may have on making those solutions successful. You should also include your opinion on the issue. However, the problem, solution, and your opinion must be referenced and supported by scholarly sources.
