Current Issues in Health Policy
Think of a situation you have either encountered in your practice or choose a situation from one of the articles you read this week. Briefly explain the scenario. Assuming that a patient does not have an advanced directive or a do-not-resuscitate order, explain how long you think the patient should be on a ventilator. Current Issues in Health Policy
Discuss if the patient should be on palliative or hospice care. Consider the costs of end-of-life care and discuss whether end-of-life care should be a political issue since Medicare and Medicaid are often involved.

- a policy brief (750-1,000 words) which targets a contemporary issue in public health policy that has global implications (e.g., smoking, obesity, infant mortality, etc.)
