Applying SDLC Models
1. Assignment: Perform an analysis on any changes which would be beneficial to the operations of this information system (HER/EMR discussed on previous assignment). Describe the process you would implement to improve this system by applying this week’s theory (SDLC). Describe barriers you anticipate encountering when applying SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) models.
2. The change that would be beneficial to the operations of the EHR at work will be: ePrescription (Electronic prescription). We have HER (eClinicals), but haven’t implemented this change at the clinic. We recently transition from paper charting to electronic medical records (EMR).
3. I am uploading the articles for you which explain the SDLC model, also the textbook chapter which explains it too. I’m also uploading articles about ePrescription.
4. I found a paper online applying the whole ePrescription implementation with the SDLC model, this must be very helpful to write the assignment. Use it as resource, but will not include in references.
5. PLEASE ADDRESS ALL THE QUESTIONS FOR THE ASSIGNMENT AS SPECIFIED ABOVE.
6. Again just in case you need this information, I work in primary care, in a family practice treating the whole family (children and adults). I treat acute and chronic health conditions (DM, HTN, etc...)
7. I am attaching the chapter from our textbook, this can be use as one reference (Informatics for health care professionals (Mastrian & McGonigle, 2017)
8. Please try not to use too many fancy words/terminologies, you can use some, but not too many.
