However, there was no yellow glow appearing on it because the tests were not done on the MSA and because the bacteria hydrolyzed starch. The halo was not able to glow because the organism did not ferment mannitol. The milk agar test the ability of an organism to produce exoenzyme casease that hydrolyze casein. On the milk agar plate the organism was able to break the casein we were able to see the halo appearing around the organism that has grown.
