An obese woman has an increasing umbilical hernia at the site of PROCEDURE: The patient was placed supine on the operating room table and induced with a general anesthetic. The abdomen was sterilely prepped and draped, and her previous surgical incision was opened 100 Anatomical Regions 6. Operative Report Umbilical hernia Umbilical hernia PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: OPERATION Umbilical hernia repair INDICATIONS: laparoscopic cholecystectomy trocar wound. Moderately sized fascial defect FINDINGS. Sharp dissection led to identification of the hernia, which was dissected free of surrounding tissues. The contents were reduced into the abdominal cavity. The fascial edges were cleaned and reapproximated with interrupted Ethibond suture. Subcutaneous was closed with 3-0 Vicryl, and the skin was closed with 4.0 Vicryl subcuticular suture, Benzoin, and Steri-Strips. Sterile dressings were applied. There were no compli- cations and no blood loss. All counts were correct. She was returned extubated and in stable condition to the recovery room
